Apart from language/encoding recognition one can do more
things with ngrams. None of them have been precanned into
NGramJ however.
- Generate "plausible" looking words, like does.
- Some people thought about non dictionary spell checking.
- Virus detecting in byte streams.
- Detecting the author of a text.
- Detecting the style of a text.
- Detecting the type of a text.
- Determining similarity of text, i.e. find stolen text.
- ..
Currently ngrams of other entities than bytes and characters
are used, e.g. based on words. But this is beyond current
NGramJ.
